We've been working on it for many months and shooting in many locations around town like the Portland library, the Narrow Gauge Railroad museum, Palmer Springs Auto Repair, Mama's Crowbar, Mechanic's Hall Library, and this Thursday- The State Theater and a new antique store called Delise Decor.

Photographed an amazing woman named Sybil (a previous story about her) for the Forecaster on Thursday morning. She's in charge of an organization called Food Cupboard which uses the basement of St. John's church on Rt.1 in South Portland. The receive day-old food from Hanneford and Shaws and organize them meticulously and then lay them out on many tables for low income families.

Last Thursday night, PAS and I went swimming at the Best Western heated outdoor pool in South Portland. It was weird to be at a motel about 15 minutes from our apartment, and to swim outside near piles of snow. The steam coming off the water was so thick you could only see about a foot in front of you...anyway ~~Peter noticed the flyer~~Peter saw on the Portland Press Herald website when we got home that the Mad Hatter's Reunion tattoo convention was happening at the hotel this weekend. I randomly went to it a few years ago at the same Best Western to take portraits...so decided to go back today. Here are the digital. I also took BxW with the medium format camera.:

Went to the Portland Museum of Art on Wednesday with the artists from Shoot Media and Studio 225. One of the main attractions was this window on the third floor that had a gray, dingy screen. The view of the roof and the 70's Days Inn, had a nice painterly feel. :

Christmas 2010: Drove from Portland to Saugerties, NY to Wellsboro, PA, to Saugerties, NY to Portland. Approx 20 hours. But it was worth it. It was the first time I've been in the same room with my entire nuclear family since before college. And had a nice time with the Smith's. And, they have a jacuzzi now. Delux.:

December 11th and 12th, Liz and I set up a display of Media and Studio's artwork for the Picnic Art Fair. We sold some stuff, talked to people, promoted the programs, ate brownies and drank alot of coffee. We were there all weekend. By Sunday night, after being inside for two straight days, essentially in the same spot of a large fluorescent lit room filled with hoodies and silkscreens and vintage hat boxes, and a dancing yeti- I felt trapped in a terrible dream. Despite the fatigue though, it was a great experience and dear co-worker/friends helped us out too.

My Shoot Media Project participants worked hard to get our space above Otto's Pizza souped-up for our Grand Opening Art Show on December 3rd. We made a wooden Light Bright sign and converted two old computers into a tv set sculpture and hung up some art.:

Confusing visit from Lady Gaga at Deering Oaks Park in Portland Maine today. Of course I support equal rights. No one should ever be fired because of their sexual orientation. Holy crap, I can't believe that this is still an issue. But, I don't support the military. When Amanda sent me a text that said "Lady Gaga at Deering Oaks Park" this morning, I thought she had seen a Gaga lookalike sleeping in the park (which wouldn't be noteworthy enough to send a text)

It was fun to watch the big bus roll up and see the cell phones raised, but the giant American flag and the National Anthem preceding her speech made me uncomfortable. I like dancing to her music in our kitchen sometimes. It reminds me of dancing at a club in Berlin at 2am. I think alot of people like her for that reason and were there at the park out of curiosity:
